Ashraf Al-Ajrami (1961 in Jabalia Camp) is a Palestinian politician who held the position of Minister of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners in the first government of Salam Fayyad.
Foundation
In 1961, Ashraf Al-Ajrami was born in Jabalia camp to parents who emigrated from the city of Beersheba as a result of the Nakba. Al-Ajrami received his school education until high school in Jabalia camp. Al-Ajrami left the Gaza Strip to study engineering in Budapest, Hungary, and in 1984 upon his return he was arrested by the Israeli authorities and imprisoned for twelve years until 1996. Al-Ajrami obtained a BA in English from Al-Quds University.
the work
After graduating, Al-Ajrami worked in the Palestinian Ministry of Information until 2007, and was promoted until he became the Director General of External Information. He left the Gaza Strip for Ramallah as a result of the events of the Palestinian division. And he held the position of Minister of the Ministry of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs in the twelfth Palestinian government headed by Salam Fayyad.
