Fouad Rizk Saad, a Palestinian journalist, was born in the village of Umm al-Fahm in 1931, and in 1952 he moved from his hometown to Jerusalem and settled there. He worked in the education and press corps, and held several positions in Jerusalem newspapers, such as: Al-Difaa newspaper and Al-Jihad newspaper in Jerusalem. In 1970, he served as editor-in-chief of the Jerusalemite People's Newspaper until 1980, after which he founded the Al-Wehda newspaper. In 1979, he founded the first Arab Journalists Association in Jerusalem and the West Bank. He died in 1983.
