his life
Bassel was born in Cairo to an
Egyptian mother and a Jordanian father of Palestinian origin. He graduated from
the Modern University for Science and Arts in Cairo, where he majored in
Marketing and Business Administration.
his professional career
He started at the age of sixteen when
he participated in the Melody Premier program and won the Melody Channel award
for presenting TV programs in 2004. This represented Bassel’s professional
breakthrough, so he was chosen to become the official presenter of the program
on Rotana and CBC screens with Yousra El Lawzy in 2013. After that, Bassel
moved to Beirut to present the Soca Stars program on Future TV.
In 2006, Bassel decided to move to
London and live there, where he spent about a year, before returning to Cairo
to test work in the field of marketing for Dunhill, the global company
specialized in the tobacco trade, for 3 years. Throughout this period, Basil
did not stray from the field of art. He filmed three works for Pepsi Arabia TV
in Dubai: Café Arabia, Face Off, and You in 60 Seconds. He returned in 2015 to
present the X Factor program for the next season on MBC 4, with the Lebanese
Daniela Rahma.
On November 29, 2015, he joined ET
Belarabi to present the program instead of Badr Al Zaidan.
