Information
The Yemeni play “Land Without Jasmine” was presented on the stage of the Battersea Arts Theater in the British capital, London, by Palestinian theater director Moamen Sweitat.
The play is the first Yemeni theatrical performance presented in the United Kingdom, and it is inspired by the novel “A Land Without Sky” by the Yemeni novelist Wajdi Al-Ahdal.
The play addresses issues that women in Yemen are exposed to, such as harassment, through the heroine of the play, “Yasmine,” whose role is played by Palestinian actress Sophia Al-Asir.
