Ghawi Ghawi
On the same day, musician Dr. Ghawi Ghawi, founder of the Faculty of Fine Arts at An-Najah National University in Nablus, and its former dean, passed away due to a terminal illness.

Ghawi was born in Nazareth in 1950. He obtained a doctorate in music from Sofia University in Bulgaria in 1978. He has many musical works, including: “The Epic of Kafr Qassem” and “I am from this city.” He also composed poems for Mahmoud Darwish and Tawfiq Ziad. And many other poets, and he was the leader of the university’s music band, which gave many performances on different stages.
