Mahmoud Abu Hijazi is a Palestinian actor born in the village of Arraba Al-Batouf . He won the Best Actor Award at the Valencia International Film Festival, in the film “Embers of the Story” directed by Ali Nassar .

He graduated from the Higher Institute of Acting “Khatziko” in Athens, Greece in 1989 .
His professional career
After graduating, he worked in many Greek productions, including: “King Oedipus,” “Blood Wedding,” “Hercules and the Lion,” and “The Thirteenth Box,” and he played the starring role in the movie “Waiting for Saladin,” directed by Ali Nassar, a member of the “Mobile Theater.” He participated in many international plays and films, where he won the Best Actor Award at the Valencia International Film Festival, as part of the film “Embers of the Story” directed by Ali Nassar, and participated in a tour of performances for the new play “Iphigenia.” He participated in the feature film “Arabani,” written and directed by Uday Adwan , and the play “All of My Sons,” directed by Nisreen Faour and produced by the “Al Hanin” Theater in Nazareth, with the participation of: Lotf Noueiser, Hanan Helou, and Faten Khoury.
