Hassan May Al-Nourani (1944-) is a Palestinian journalist and writer . He was born in Jaffa and then moved to the Gaza Strip in 1948 following the events of the Nakba . He then settled in Deir al-Balah . He obtained a doctorate in philosophy and psychology , and has theories in psychotherapy .
His activity
In his youth in 1967, he founded the “Muslim Mujahideen Movement” after withdrawing from the Fatah Movement , which he had joined earlier in the same year. He founded the “Wahidiyyin Group” and the “Arab Committee for the Defense of Yemeni Unity” during his stay in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen , between 1990 and 1995. After his return to the Gaza Strip in 1995, he founded the “Haq al-Bahja-Hob Group.” He called for joining the Nooraniyya call, which he described as “a method for saving humanity from its ancient, continuous misery.” He presented himself as a candidate for the presidency of the Palestinian Authority in the elections held in 2005 to choose a president for the Authority. The "issue of justice" was the central issue in his platform that he presented during his candidacy, and he announced his withdrawal from running before the elections were held in protest against what he considered foreign interference in the elections, and then called for the establishment of the "Justice and Freedom Movement" whose principles are based on not recognizing the legitimacy of the Israeli occupation and the right to resistance, and in the same year, on the contrary, he called for the establishment of the "Party of Love" that calls for the rejection of violence and welcomes the idea of establishing a homeland that unites Palestinians and Israelis. In 2009, he founded the "Palestinian Society for the Care of the Elderly" before it was transformed into the "Freedom Forum" in 2011.
