Born in Al-Nairab refugee camp, near Aleppo in 1952, originally from Tarshiha. He received his BA in Arabic Literature from Beirut Arab University in 1977; worked as a journalist in many Arab countries then in Cyprus from 1983 - 1993. Besides his work as a journalist, he also writes poetry.
