Ayman Mohieldin, (born April 18, 1979) is an American journalist of Egyptian descent, who worked for NBC News and before that for Al Jazeera and CNN. He covered important coverage such as the extradition and trial of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. He also covered the Israeli war on Gaza and the events of the Arab Spring. NBC News withdrew him from Gaza in 2014 despite the coverage described as “strong.”
