Dina Takrouri is an American
journalist who works as a presenter and producer on Al Jazeera Plus (AJ+), a
digital channel of Al Jazeera Media Network based in San Francisco, California.
Takroori's videos range from studio
clips to provide important contextual information to news stories, to
interviews with experts and stakeholders, to heart-to-heart reports of a
breaking news event. Topics covered include the Israeli-Palestinian conflict,
the Black Lives Matter movement, police violence, mass incarceration, and the
2016 US presidential election.
Tekruri reported from Charleston,
South Carolina, in the aftermath of the Charleston church shooting. She also
covered the armed occupation of the Federal Nature Reserve in Oregon and the
water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Internationally, Takrouri has covered the
refugee crisis in Europe as she integrates herself with a group of refugees and
crosses borders with them, all while broadcasting in both English and Arabic.
