Bushra Jamal Muhammad Al-Taweel (born on April 25, 1993 in
Al-Bireh) is a Palestinian journalist and has been imprisoned in the Israeli
occupation prisons since November 8, 2020.
her personal life
Bushra Al-Taweel was born in Al-Bireh, in the central West Bank,
and received her school education there. She obtained a diploma in journalism
and media from the Modern University College in the city of Ramallah in 2013.
Al-Taweel worked with the Palestinian Anin Al-Qayed Network, which specializes
in the affairs of prisoners and detainees and their rights, and she was a media
spokesperson for it.
Her father, Jamal Al-Taweel, is a prominent member of the
Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, where
he was mayor of Al-Bireh between 2006 and 2012.
Her father spent a total of 14 years in captivity at various
intervals, and her mother about a year between February 2010 and February 2011.
