Jamal Rayan (1953-) is a Palestinian journalist and news broadcaster with Jordanian citizenship , and presenter of the first news bulletin on Al Jazeera in 1996 .
His life
He was born in the city of Tulkarm , Palestine , on August 23, 1953 AD [1] . He worked as a presenter for news and political programs on Jordanian Television in 1974 AD, and joined the news department at the South Korean Broadcasting Corporation in 1979 AD. He was also a presenter for the news and political program (The World This Evening) on Abu Dhabi TV in 1989 AD. He joined the British Arabic Broadcasting Corporation ( BBC) in 1994 AD. Then he joined Al Jazeera satellite channel in Qatar in 1996, to be the first broadcaster to appear on the channel’s screen, and to become one of its most important cadres. He currently presents the most important news and analytical period on Al Jazeera channel, “Today’s Harvest.” [1] He is a member ofThe Royal Jordanian Radio Amateur Society has the code JY5FX and also practices the hobby from Qatar under the code A71GG. He is also one of the most important supporters of the Palestinian cause through his participation in Palestinian conferences and events in Europe and America.
