Information
Walid Seif is Palestinian-Jordanian poet, writer, dramatist, critic and researcher. He was born in Tulkarem, West Bank in 1948. Walid received his Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Jordan, obtained his PhD in Linguistics from the University of London in 1975. He then worked as a lecturer at the Arabic Language Dept. in the University of Jordan for three years before starting his career as a dramatist. He has worked in the Syrian television drama also.
Dr. Walid Saif is married and has three children.
Since 1987, he worked as director of education in the production of Al-Quds Open University. He writes plays and articles about the struggle of the Palestinian people. He wrote "Pursuant to the long road", a series tells the story of the lives of multiple generations of a Palestinian farming family.
