Hakam Abdulhadi, a former journalist and editor of the Deutsche Welle (Germany's state run international broadcaster), he was born in Jenin 1939, where he finished his secondary education, received his MA in Economics from the University of Hamburg, Germany. After graduating he worked as a researcher. In the mid 1970's, he decided to work in broadcasting and TV.
