Muhammad Bakri (Hebrew: מוחמד בכרי) is an Arab-Israeli actor, director and producer, born in 1953 in the village of Al-Bana'a in the Galilee. He married Laila and had 6 children with her, including the actor Saleh Bakri, as well as the actor Ziad Bakri, who appeared in the Bureau of Legends (Peru de Legend).

Muhammad Al-Bakri reached the world stage after a long career, participating in acting, directing, writing and producing in more than 43 works, including the films: Behind Bars, "The Milky Way", and "Haifa". His theatrical beginnings were with the presentation of Arthur Miller's play "A Scene from the Bridge". His first productions were "Behind Bars", "Hana Ki" and "The Leper Branch". Then he started acting in the films "Haifa", "Private" and "Under the Feet of Women". His theatrical beginnings were “The Pessimist” in 1986.
Bakri began acting at the Habima Theater in Tel Aviv, Haifa Theater and Al Kasbah Theater in Ramallah.
Five Israeli soldiers sued Muhammad Bakri for defamation after he directed the film Jenin, Jenin, but the court dismissed the case, but the soldiers appealed the decision. In 2021, the Israeli District Court in Lod banned the film from showing in Israel and decided to delete its links on the Internet and confiscate all copies.

Bakri was born in the village of Al-Bana in the Galilee. He studied at an elementary school in his village and received his secondary education in the city of Acre, near his country. He studied Arabic literature and acting at Tel Aviv University in 1973 and graduated three years later.
Bakri and his wife Laila have six children. his sons; Adam, Ziyad, and Saleh also work in the field of acting.
