In his doctoral thesis, the Palestinian researcher Dr. Louay Tayseer Al-Qaryouti, in designing a seawater desalination plant using renewable energy.

The researcher Al-Qaryouti wanted to find solutions to the problem of the acute shortage of potable water in the Gaza Strip, which arises as a result of the shortage of electrical energy sources, so he found in his doctoral thesis a way to search for those solutions.

Under the title “Designing Decentralized Seawater Desalination Plants Using Renewable Energy Sources in the Gaza Strip,” researcher Al-Qaryouti completed his thesis and subsequently obtained a doctorate in sanitary and environmental engineering from Cairo University in Egypt.
