The American
Columbia University, which is considered one of the most prestigious
universities in the world, celebrated the awarding of the Palestinian lawyer
"Zeina Jallad" the title of PhD with exceptional distinction as the
first Arab woman to obtain the title.
This title is
the highest academic title awarded to academics specializing in the study of
law in the history of Columbia University, to be recorded as a new Palestinian
academic achievement.
The
Palestinian lawyer previously worked as a lecturer in criminal law and
international law at Columbia University.
She has also
worked as a legal expert with the European Union and a number of international
organizations.
