Al-Azhar University in the Gaza Strip awarded a master's degree to the researcher, Ruba Samir Al-Jabour, in the field of medical imaging in the diagnosis of pelvic tumors among patients in the Gaza Strip, which is the first of its kind in Palestine.
The researcher's thesis was titled "Compatibility between magnetic resonance imaging and histopathology in diagnosing pelvic tumors among patients in the Gaza Strip."
The study concluded that magnetic resonance imaging is accurate in predicting the type of pelvic tumors and has great diagnostic value in distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. However, this MRI may be a guide to treatment planning and useful for evaluating different pathologic features of pelvic tumors.
