Taher Tabari (Born in Tiberias in 1895) was a Palestinian poet and author, educated in his country. He joined Al-Azhar University where he studied the Islamic Science. After his graduation, he left to Istanbul where he studied the Islamic Shari'a and Jurisdiction.
In 1914, he returned to Tiberias, elected as a Mufti; elected as a member of the Syrian National Congress which declared an independent Arab Kingdom of Syria and King Faisal was declared the head of State in 1920.
Tabari died in Nazareth on March 1959.
