Salim Mustafa Salim al-Saqqa (born in 1954 in Khan Yunis) is a Palestinian lawyer and politician, and the Palestinian Minister of Justice since June 2, 2014. To chair the Council of the Judicial Institute.
2006 legislative elections
In 2006, Al-Saqa ran for the Legislative Council elections for the Khan Yunis constituency, as an independent candidate.
Ministry of Justice
Al-Saqa took over the Ministry of Justice in the Palestinian National Accord government, since June 2, 2014, headed by Rami Hamdallah.
Attitudes and opinions
Over the past years, Al-Saqa has been involved in advocating for Palestinian reconciliation, and has been famous for his rejection of Israeli military trials.
