Othman Al-Takrouri ( Abu Saleh , August 12 , 1943 - December 22, 2020 ), was a Palestinian lawyer and university professor . He was a judge in the Palestinian Supreme Court, and he is considered one of the most prominent legal figures in Palestine. He was a professor of law at the Faculty of Law at Hebron University and a number of other Palestinian universities. He also authored a number of books and research papers on law.

Othman Salih Othman Al-Takrouri was born in Hebron on August 12, 1943. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ain Shams University between 1962 and 1966, then he obtained a Master’s degree in International and Private Law from the same university between 1969 to 1971, and a doctorate degree in commercial law from the same university in the period between December 1979 to November 1982.
Othman worked as a legal and regular lawyer in the city of Hebron. He also worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Commerce at Birzeit University, the Faculty of Sharia, the Faculty of Management and Finance at Hebron University , the Faculty of Law at Al-Quds University , and the Faculty of Business Administration at Bethlehem University . He also worked as a judge in the Palestinian Supreme Judicial Council [ 4] and was an assistant professor at the Palestinian Judicial Institute affiliated to the Palestinian Ministry of Justice and at the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Al-Ahlia University in Bethlehem . [3] He worked from May 1987 until August 1988 as Acting President of Hebron University , then became Dean of Student Affairs from 1992 until 1994. [3]He was a member of the Council of the Association of Undergraduates and Secretary of the Council for two terms 1976-1980 and co-founder of the Polytechnic Institute, which later became Palestine Polytechnic University . [3]

He died in Hebron on December 22, 2020 AD, corresponding to Jumada Al-Awwal 7, 1442 AH, at the age of 77.
