The Palestinian academic Dr. Musleh Kanana, an important additional encyclopedia for those concerned with understanding linguistic origins and lovers of linguistic derivations and their meanings.
Dr. Musleh Kanana, lecturer in anthropology and psychology at Birzeit University, published “The Encyclopedia of Non-Arabic Vocabulary in the Palestinian Colloquial,” by Majdalawi Publishing and Distribution House in Amman.
The encyclopedia is concerned with what is called the “Crescent Language” in reference to the Fertile Crescent region, which is the vocabulary that is used in colloquial Palestinian and Arabic and is not of Arabic linguistic origins.
It is reported that Dr. Kanaana is a researcher specializing in Palestinian folklore, and has published a number of books and specialized research, in addition to his literary writings.
