A Saudi surgeon of Palestinian origin from Gaza City, a consultant pediatric heart and circulatory surgeon at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, the first Saudi doctor to obtain a fellowship from the Canadian College of Physicians and Surgeons in general surgery in 1983. He performed more than 15,000 heart surgeries in In Saudi Arabia and abroad, most of them are on children’s hearts. He has more than 300 scientific papers in his field of specialization. He also developed surgical techniques and used them in the field of pediatric heart surgery. He received from King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz the King Abdulaziz Medal, First Class, in appreciation of his achievements. He also became one of the One of the ten best pediatric heart surgeons in the world, he contributed to the training and development of the pediatric heart surgery department in Edmonton - Canada upon an official invitation from officials. Over the course of a full year (1995/1996 AD) he made multiple visits to the center in Canada to perform operations and train the staff. After these Visits The department there developed and became one of the best departments in Canada. It won the Almarai Award for Scientific Creativity as a distinguished scientist in the field of medicine in 2003. It was nominated for the Al-Khwarizmi Scientific Award in Iran.
