Information
Abdullah Awais is an Assistant Professor holding a Ph.D. (with honors Summa cum Laude) in Urban and Regional Planning from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany in 1998. He has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Urban Studies at Al-Quds University since 2008. He has served on several committees in the Faculty of Arts, Bard College, and the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
He is a lecturer for both undergraduate and graduate programs, supervising master's theses, and actively involved in research preparation and implementation, particularly in Jerusalem, alternative energy, desalination, and environmental sciences. He has authored numerous geopolitical studies on Jerusalem, as well as publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals on geomorphology and urban and environmental planning. Additionally, he is credited with discovering the first evidence of herbivorous dinosaurs in Palestine.
