Ansam Firas Diab Sawalha (born 1969), a Palestinian professor who served as Dean of both the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Nursing at An-Najah National University , is the first Palestinian woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame for Women Scientists, a project implemented by the US State Department. She was honored for her ability to establish the Poison Control and Drug Information Center at An-Najah University in 2006.
Early life and education
She was born in the town of Asira al-Shamaliya in 1969 and studied in the town’s schools. She is married and has three children. She obtained a degree in pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin .
Sawalha joined the staff of An-Najah National University in 1999, specifically the staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and she made many achievements, the most prominent of which was the establishment of the Poison Control and Drug Information Center.
