Fouad Shehadeh (July 13, 1925 - September 7, 2019), a Palestinian lawyer, holds the Guinness World Records title as the longest practicing lawyer.
Foundation
Shehadeh was born in Jerusalem on July 13, 1925. His father is journalist and political activist Boulos Shehadeh, founder of the newspaper, Mirat al-Sharq. He studied at the Bishop's School in Jerusalem until 1942, then at the American University in Beirut and then at the Institute of Law in Jerusalem.
He began practicing law in 1948, months before the Palestinian Nakba, with his brother Aziz Shehadeh in Jaffa. After the Nakba, they moved to Ramallah, where he is still practicing law. He lost his sight in a traffic accident in 1978 on the Nablus-Jenin road.

On May 31, 2016, he was awarded the title of "Tallest Practitioner of the Legal Profession" by the Guinness Book of Records, having spent 66 years and 187 days until the date of verification.
Death
Fouad Shehadeh passed away at dawn on Saturday 7 September 2019.
