Information
Sobhi Al-Khadra is a Palestinian Arab politician, lawyer and journalist. He was born in Safed and studied primary at Al Jamea Al-Ahmar Al Dhaheri School there, then Al Salihah School, then joined the Royal School in Beirut and the Military College in Astana. He participated in the battles of southern Palestine with the Turkish forces in the First World War. He participated in the Maysaloon Battle and then returned to Palestine to help supply the Syrian revolution with weapons through his brother-in-law, Fuad Selim. He joined the Palestinian Law Institute in Jerusalem, and graduated from it.
He was a leader in the Palestinian Independence Party. He helped organize activities against the British and against the Zionists in Palestine, as well as the Palestine Revolution of 1936, which led to his imprisonment for 3 years.
After the Nakba, he fled to Syria and worked as a lawyer. He died in Damascus on July 4, 1954 and was buried there.
