Shatha Mustafa is a Palestinian novelist, best known for her novel “What I Left Behind”, which was nominated for the Sheikh Zayed Prize for Literature 2020-21 for the Young Author Branch. It is her first novel, which was published in 2020 by Dar Hashit Antoine / Nawfal in Beirut, and was published in coordination with the Department of Arabic Language and Languages. Near East at the American University of Beirut. Shatha studied architecture, graduated from the American University of Beirut, and lives in Germany.
