She was born in the city of Homs on
January 25, 1982, to a Syrian family and raised five siblings. I graduated from
the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Syria and obtained a diploma in
theater directing from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Egypt. She
worked in theatre, cinema and television, and participated in dance and
theatrical movement workshops with local, Arab and European troupes, and in
Arab and international festivals. She is the younger sister of the Syrian
actress Laura Abu-Assad, as she used to go at an early age with her sister to
watch the rehearsal in the theater, and she became attached to acting. And the
father also has artistic inclinations, and her father is a writer and poet, but
he did not publish his poems. She grew up armed with culture and artistic
education.
