Farouk Muhammad Ahmad Wadi was born
in the Palestinian city of Al-Bireh on April 14, 1949, to a Palestinian family
who had fled from the village of Al-Muzaira’a following the Nakba in 1948. He
obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Jordan in
1972, and moved between several Arab cities, including Amman, Beirut, and
Damascus. He worked for 35 years in Palestinian cultural institutions.
