Atef Talal Ibrahim Abu Saif ( June 20 , 1973 ) is a Palestinian writer , novelist, and politician . On February 5, 2018, the Commission for Information, Culture and Intellectual Mobilization in the Fatah movement assigned him as a spokesman for the movement. [1] Since April 13, 2019, he has also held the position of Minister of Culture within the government of Muhammad Shtayyeh . [2]
His life
Atef Abu Seif was born in Jabalia refugee camp in 1973, [1] to parents from an immigrant family from Jaffa . [3] He studied English language and literature at Birzeit University , and obtained a master's degree in political science from the University of Bradford in England , and later obtained a doctorate in political science from the University of Florence in Italy . [3]
Atef Abu Seif published four novels , in addition to a collection of short stories and a book published by Dar Al-Shorouk in Amman . [3]
