The artist Shamlouni is considered one of the most prominent Palestinian experimental visual artists in Syria. He comes from a Palestinian refugee family in the Yarmouk camp whose origins go back to the village of Tabgha in the Tiberias district. He has been residing in France for several years after the displacement of most of the Yarmouk camp.
Through his paintings, he participated in several national and international exhibitions. Such as ; His participation in the framework of the activities of the Palestinian Month in Senegal in 2016, where the Palestinian Embassy organized a plastic exhibition entitled “Fragments of Freedom” by the Palestinian artist Haitham Shamlouni, in the Senegalese capital, Dakar. In his paintings, which number twenty-three paintings of different sizes, the artist Haitham Shamlouni addressed the topic of linking The state of persecution and enslavement to which the African person was exposed and the state of Palestinian pain as a result of the ongoing crimes of the occupation since the first Nakba in 1948 until these days. The artist also addressed in many of his paintings the state of Palestinian renaissance represented by the launch of contemporary Palestinian revolutions and successive uprisings. He has been residing in France for years, where he continues his artistic productions in his new diaspora.
