Information
Sabri Mahmoud is a Jordanian singer of Palestinian origin. He is the husband of the well-known Jordanian singer Ghada Mahmoud. He has performed many beautiful songs.
He traveled to Iraq with Rawhi Shaheen to study music, but the Iraqi music institutes rejected them because they did not obtain a high school diploma (Tawjihi) due to the conditions of post-war migration from Palestine to Jordan. They did not give up and continued searching until they found a blind Iraqi woman who owned a music center for oud training in Al-Rashid Street in Baghdad, so I accepted them for half an Iraqi dinar per hour. We were able to learn to play the oud within one year. Rawhi Shaheen returned to Jordan, while Sabri Mahmoud headed to Kuwait.
