Suhail Salim ( 1938-1998 ) is a Palestinian poet and writer . He was born in Haifa in 1938 , and has a number of collections of poetry , including “Rape” and “From the Echo of the Bleeding.”
He studied the first grade of primary school in Haifa School , then moved to Umm al-Fahm School in 1946 , where he finished the sixth grade. After that, he returned to Haifa School, where he studied for one year, then moved to Jaffa City School , where he stopped studying and then returned to it, where he finished the ninth grade of primary school in 1976. After that, he joined an institute where he completed the tenth grade.
He started his career early, working in freelance work at the age of eight, then worked as a teacher at the Mufti School in Umm al-Fahm . He was a member of the Palestinian Writers Association , and one of the founders of the Naseem al-Sindian Cultural Group in 1992. He was a member of the Ansar al-Adab Association and the al-Baidar Association . He was one of the most prominent activists in trade union, cultural, social and political work in Palestine , and as a result of his neutrality and independence, all Palestinian movements accepted him, to the point that all Palestinian civil society institutions commemorated his memory.

He has two manuscript collections of short stories, ten plays, and translated many poems from Hebrew into Arabic.
