Hanan Ahmed Awwad (1951) is a Palestinian poet . She was born in Jerusalem and holds a Master's degree in Literature. She worked as a teacher at Abu Dis College of Science. She is the head and founder of the Palestine branch of the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom since 1988. Her poetry collections include From My Blood I Write 1983 and I Chose Danger , and she has studies in Palestinian literature in the modern era.
Her biography
Hanan Ahmed Awwad was born in Jerusalem in 1951. She obtained a diploma in education from Dar Al-Mu'allimat in Ramallah in 1971, then a BA in Arabic Literature and an MA in Humanities from the Institute of Asian and African Studies in Jerusalem in 1975 and 1977. She also obtained a postgraduate diploma from Al-Azhar University in 1976 and an MA in Humanities from McGill University in Canada . She is the head and founder of the Palestine branch of the World Women's Organization for Peace and Freedom a lecturer at Birzeit University , a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Council in Jerusalem, and a consulting member of Al-Mawakeb magazine.
