Samir Saber Al-Jundi (born November 29, 1958 in Jerusalem ) is a Palestinian writer and publisher who founded Al-Jundi Publishing House and has several literary and critical writings.

His upbringing and education

He was born in 1985 in East Jerusalem to blind refugee parents from the village of Deir Yassin , and received his school education at the Islamic Orphanage School. He obtained a diploma in education and a BA in Arabic literature from Al-Quds University, and an MA in modern Arabic criticism.  He currently works as a lecturer at Al-Quds University. 

Cultural work

He founded Al-Jundi Publishing and Distribution House, which describes itself as having been established to support Palestinian writers and authors and seeks to contribute to preserving Jerusalem’s cultural identity and helping young writers publish their works. 

Trade union work

He participated in the founding of the General Union of Palestinian Teachers in the Occupied Territories, and is the head of the union of workers  in the private education sector in Jerusalem, and a member of the General Union of Palestinian Writers and Authors. Samir Al-Jundi is a member of the Seventh Day Symposium - Palestinian National Theater, and contributes writings to local and international newspapers and magazines. Al-Jundi also writes blogs on electronic pages, and has critical literary studies and working papers published on electronic pages. Samir Al-Jundi has held several positions in union work, and has represented Palestine in many international and global conferences.
