Biography
Yousri Al-Ghoul is a Palestinian writer and novelist. Born in the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza, he has published numerous short stories and novels. He has also written many articles on the Palestinian cultural and political reality, which have been published in various international, Arab, and local newspapers and magazines. His works have gained wide readership due to their bold critique of the Palestinian reality's policies.
Yousri is active in literature, journalism, youth work, and human rights, which has strengthened his ties with civil society organizations and helped him build a broad network of contacts both locally and internationally.
He holds a master's degree from the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at Al-Azhar University and has completed numerous international and local courses in creative writing, specialized diplomacy, international humanitarian law, and human rights. This experience has honed his storytelling skills and enabled him to address issues with humanitarian dimensions. He has delivered lectures and spoken at meetings with international decision-making institutions such as the US Congress, NATO, the US and French foreign ministries, the German cabinet, and others. He later became a member of the Alliance of Civilizations, a United Nations program.
