Information
Karloma is a Palestinian band which reflects to a large extent the reality of modern Palestinian life in all its contrasts.
It was established in Ramallah in the late Nineties by a group of music teachers at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, where their goal was to explore and experiment with arranging and performing Eastern music styles in different ways. The name of the band reflects this trend, where Al-Karloma represents the initial sketches of the calligrapher which might precede the final portrait.
