One of the pioneers of the Arab press, was born in Jaffa (Yafa) in 1916; educated in Dar al-Oloum Islamic school in Yafa; worked in trading for several years; in 1935 he was appointed as a teacher in Salama school - east of Yafa. In the beginning of the Arab revolt (1936-1939) he was arrested for three days by the British Mandate Government, after his release from prison he left to Beirut, worked there as an Arabic language and history teacher in al-Aziziyya school. Published al-Mahd newspaper; joined the Society of the Muslim Brothers (al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun) in Yafa; died in 1976 in Jordan.
