Salah Mahameed was born in Umm al-Fahm in 1960, finished his secondary education in Haifa; studied Psychiatry at the University of Padua, Italy. 
In 1992, he established Al Zaytooneh Society in San Vito Di Cadore; started his artistic career in 1993; participated in several exhibits in Italy; published his first divan in 1994.

Salah currently lives in Italy.
