Born in Jerusalem 1922; received his primary and secondary education in De La Salle school in Jerusalem; he then moved to England where he earned his PhD in Arabic Literature from University of London 1969; worked as a teacher in Jerusalem and Ramallah; worked at the Palestinian Government then at Barclays Bank, he then emigrated to the United States in 1968; appointed as a lecturer of the Arabic and Islamic studies at University of Hartford; Arabic language and Literature lecturer at the McGill University in Canada.Source
