Tawfiq Elia Zureiq was born in Acre (Akka), Tawfiq received his early education in his country. Later, he migrated to America where he resided for a while, then returned to Palestine in the 1930s. Tawfiq has worked at the Iraq Petroleum Company in Haifa.
