Born in Silwad ( a Palestinian town located 12 kilometers north-east of Ramallah) in 1923, moved to Cairo and joined al-Azhar al-Sharif in 1937, graduated from the Arabic language college 1944, worked as an Arabic language teacher since 1945 until his retirement in 1984.
