Muhammad Muheeb Jabr is a Jordanian-born Palestinian novelist, storyteller and journalist. He is the younger brother of the Palestinian writer and playwright Muhammad Kamal Jabr. And the husband of Madiha, the younger sister of the late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat. His family was displaced from the village of Kafr Saba after its destruction in the Nakba in 1948. He was born in Nablus, Palestine, studied in Lebanon, and spent most of his life residing in the United Arab Emirates since 1976. He worked there throughout this period in the field of journalism and media, especially in a newspaper The Gulf, in which work began with its re-issue in 1980.
Muhammad Muhib Jaber was born in Rafidia - Nablus on 28/8/1953. He studied the primary stage in the schools of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Balata camp, east of the city, and then moved to study the secondary stage in the secondary schools of Salahah, King Talal Secondary School, and the An-Najah National College, which turned five years after his graduation to An-Najah National University in 1977. During that time, he began practicing media work, along with writings in the short story and theater, through the two newspapers "Al-Shaab" and "Al-Fajr", which were issued from the city of Jerusalem. In 1974, the novelist and storyteller Muhammad Mohib Jaber joined the Lebanese University in Beirut to study English literature, and during that time he continued his journalistic work as a researcher specializing in the affairs of the occupied territories through magazines issued by Palestinian organizations, and a number of Arab magazines and newspapers that were published in Beirut, but the war The civil that erupted in Lebanon in 1976 prevented him from completing his studies and working there. Then he moved to Dubai / United Arab Emirates.
In the United Arab Emirates, Muhammad Muhib Jabr began his working life as a journalist in the magazine "Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry", and a writer in "Al Fajr" newspaper, which is issued in Abu Dhabi, then he worked in the newspaper "Al Wahda" issued by Abu Dhabi also from its office in the Emirate of Sharjah. Residing there from 1978 until now.
In 1980, Muhammad Moheeb Jabr joined Al Khaleej newspaper, with its re-issue, after it had been suspended for ten years, and was one of the founders of the re-issue. In addition, he worked as a host and presenter for a number of radio and television programs for Dubai Radio and TV.
He was elected secretary of the branch of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Writers in the UAE in the last general elections of the Fifth General Conference of the Union, which was held in Algeria in 1987 under the name "The Unification Conference".
