Ibtisam Abu Mayaleh is a Palestinian writer from Hebron. She was born in 1960 in the city of Al-Bireh, adjacent to Ramallah. She continued her studies after she was forty-four years old. A mother of four daughters and two sons, she obtained a diploma in business administration from the Future Technical College
Her first novel, Forbidden Love, was published in 2008 by Bayt Al-Maqdis for Distribution and Publishing, after the death of her husband and father in two consecutive years, so she did not celebrate her first literary child properly. She tends in her writings to historical documentation through a romantic novel that motivates the reader and enriches his information

I collaborated with the Bialara Foundation in writing scripts for some episodes of a series entitled "Count to Ten".

She is currently cooperating with some liberated prisoners to write their experiences in captivity through a special creative writing course. A member of the administration of the "Ejaweed Charitable Society" to sponsor orphans and help underprivileged families.
