Tawfiq Abdel Aal is a Palestinian plastic artist (1938-2002), born in Acre. He held his first exhibition as a nine-year-old in a school in Acre in 1948, under the supervision of his teacher, the painter George Fakhoury. After the 1948 catastrophe, he moved to Lebanon, where he lived until his death in 2002.

He held his first exhibition, which caught his eye, in 1962 in the Lebanese city of Aley. In 1963 he held an exhibition in the Lebanese village of Broumana. In 1966 he held an exhibition in Beirut (48 paintings). In 1968 he held an exhibition in Libya and then in Damascus. In 1971, he held an exhibition in Baghdad (30 oil paintings). In 1980, he held an exhibition in Libya and then in Damascus. In 1982, he held an exhibition in Beirut entitled (Palestine in Dreams and Colors). In 1993 - he held an exhibition in the People's Hall in Damascus, and the Syndicate of Fine Arts honored him by holding a symposium on his art. In 1993, he held an exhibition in Yarmouk camp.
Tawfiq Abdel Aal was an artist who was always worried, so he moved between realism, symbolism, expressionism and surrealism, and he practiced drawing, photography, sculpture and planning. He married the baksa of al-Akhal, the sister of the artist Tammam al-Akhal, and the sculptor Akram al-Akhal.
