Information
Khalil Rassas is a Palestinian photographer (1926-1974), one of the founding fathers of the art of Palestinian photojournalism. Khalil Rassas accompanied the Palestinian forces and leaders during the War of Independence in 1948, to visually document the battles fought by the residents of the Jerusalem area at the time. Among his most prominent documents were the activities of the martyr Abdel Qader. Husseini.
Khalil Rasasab's albums were stolen from his studio in Jerusalem, where they were transferred to the archives of the Haganah. Officer and researcher Rona Sela was the first to discover his archives.
