Information
Mahmoud Hamid, or Mahmoud Reda Hamed, is a Palestinian poet born in Safad 1941. He took refuge with his family in Damascus in the Nakba in 1948. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Department of Arabic Language at Damascus University.

He was a teacher at Damascus High Schools, and a member of the Syrian educational mission to Algeria from 67-1969. He worked in Saudi Arabia for twenty years in teaching, then assistant director of Doha Saudi schools from 1970-1972, and an administrative official in French companies operating in the Kingdom from 1975-1990, then returned to Damascus.
He worked in the press and media at Al-Yamamah Press Foundation 1972-1985, the French Agency for the Development of Saudi Television 1980-1985, and in the Middle East and the Arab magazine 1985-1990.
Member of the Union of Palestinian Writers and Journalists in Damascus, the Union of Arab Writers in Damascus, and Secretary of the Poetry Association in the Arab Writers Union in Damascus.
