Information
Omar Khalifa (1980-) is a Palestinian-Jordanian writer and academic researcher. He was born in Kuwait, grew up and studied in Jordan, where he obtained his BA and MA degrees in Arabic language and literature from the University of Jordan, and then obtained his PhD in Middle Eastern studies from Columbia University in New York. He is a professor of Arabic literature at Georgetown University in Qatar.
He published a collection of short stories titled “As if I am” in 2010, and an English-language academic book titled “Nasser in the Egyptian Imaginary” in 2017, and his first novel, “The Grim Reaper,” was published in 2020.
