Salih Abd al-Jawad (1952-) is a Palestinian writer and historian. He holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Western Paris Nanterre La Defense in 1986.

His upbringing and education

Saleh Abdel-Jawad was born in the city of Al-Bireh in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. And he was educated there. He obtained a bachelor's degree in political science from Cairo University in 1974, then a master's degree in 1979, and finally a doctorate in political science, which he obtained from the University of Western Paris Nanterre La Defense in 1986.

During his work at the University of Bizerte, Saleh Abdel-Gawad held several positions, as he was head of the Department of History and Political Science for two terms, director of the University Research Center and dean of the Faculty of Law, Public Administration and Political Science.
